CCJSCA Website Information
Judge Gary Lynch, Chair, CCJSCA Website Committee
This Chief Chat is facilitated by Judge Gary Lynch, chair of the CCJSCA Website Committee. He will discuss and demonstrate how the CCJSCA website, newly rebuilt at www.ccjsca.net with an anticipated launch date of March 17, 2026, may be used to build and support the CCJSCA community of Chief Judges. Beginning with a brief general overview of website functionality and features, he will focus primarily on website Discussion Groups. Using a live website demonstration along with interactive questions and answers, he will explain the intended function of each group, how to access a particular group, how to post a new discussion and a comment in a group, how to link a document or other media to a post, how to receive notifications of new posts made by others, and how to search for and find ongoing or historical discussions by subject.

Appeals on Wheels
Judge Nancy Vaidik with Anne Fuchs, Director of Communications (IN)
Are you interested in enhancing the credibility of your court, building trust with your communities and legislators, all while teaching civic education throughout the state?
Come join Judge Nancy Vaidik and her Director of Communications, Anne Fuchs, to learn about the Indiana Court of Appeals, Appeals on Wheels, program. The Court visits communities around the state and holds oral arguments in venues where audiences gather to hear real oral arguments in real time, with real judges and real attorneys. Following the arguments, students get to ask questions about the judiciary and get to know the people behind the robes. “It is one of the most powerful trust-building tools in the state, recognized nationally for its breadth and impact.”

Rural Representation Crisis
Judge Nancy Vaidik (IN) and Judge Elizabeth Garry (NY)
Description:
This Chief Chat, “The Rural Representation Crisis: what can we do?”, will be co-facilitated by Hon. Nancy Vaidik and Hon. Elizabeth Garry, speaking about recent initiatives in New York and Indiana, and is designed to address what is now widely understood to be a national issue of access to justice. Other states have also undertaken notable initiatives, and we will allow time for contributions if there are members present who wish to join in briefly describing their strategies, i.e, “what has been working” in their respective states.
We hope to see you there and look forward to lots of great dialogue!
