Florida Court of Appeal Chief Judge Jeffrey Kuntz Nominated to Serve on the United States District Court

Judge Kuntz  has served on  the Florida Court of Appeal since  2016.  He was nominated by the President in April  to serve on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Judge Kuntz graduated  from Boston College in 2003 and received his law degree  from Suffolk University Law School in 2006.   He began his legal career in 2006  with a Florida law firm where he specialized in commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and banking-related cases.  He was appointed to Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal  in 2016 and  was  elected Chief Judge in 2025.
